Job summary

CCN Pharmacy in the United States is seeking a Processing Technician to accurately enter and route prescriptions within our pharmacy system under supervising pharmacists.

You will support efficient operations, resolve processing issues, and maintain documentation and communication. You’ll collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and operations teams to ensure timely, correct patient care.

This role requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to multitask during peak periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be licensed (unrestricted) and registered as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to apply for temporary registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee in the state of employment.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Efficient, self‑motivated, and proactive.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Prescription Processing & Data Entry: Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system under supervision.
• Consult with pharmacists regarding questions or clarifications related to prescription entry.
• Verify prescription information prior to processing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Efficiently and accurately process mailed‑in, faxed, electronically received, verbal orders, and dropped‑off prescriptions.
• Route labels, rejections, and processing issues appropriately; perform rebills and balance billing as required.
• Maintain general knowledge of common medications, usage, and brand-name to generic name.
