Job summary

Hughes Circuits Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Flying Probe/Test Technician to support testing and validation of PCBAs in a fast-paced electronics environment.

You will operate flying probe test equipment, troubleshoot electrical faults, and ensure products meet quality and functional specifications before shipment. The role involves testing/reworking PCBAs to component level, reading schematics, and using IPC/ASCII files for programming.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and communicates in English.
• 2+ years testing PCBAs in electronics manufacturing.
• Troubleshoots defects and electrical faults.
• Able to read schematics and use CAD/BOM data.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program flying probe test systems for in-circuit and functional testing of PCBAs.
• Set up and optimize test programs using CAD data and BOMs.
• Identify and troubleshoot defects (opens/shorts/polarity).
• Interpret schematics and test reports to identify root causes.
• Communicate test failures to teams to enable corrective action.
• Verify reworked assemblies and confirm effectiveness of actions.
• Support new product introductions and pilot runs.
• Document test results and trends in MES/quality systems.
