Job summary

Hughes Circuits Inc. in San Marcos, CA, is seeking a proactive Quality Analyst to support assembly operations and QMS compliance. You will perform final inspections, interpret drawings and specifications, and provide real-time quality oversight on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires IPC J-STD-001/A-610 knowledge, 3+ years in electronics quality, strong reporting skills in MS Office, and a collaborative mindset to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a quality role in electronics manufacturing
• Proficient in IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
• Strong reporting skills using MS Office
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct final inspections to verify compliance with assembly drawings, job specifications, and customer requirements
• Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and production documentation to ensure product accuracy
• Provide real-time quality oversight and support to production teams on the manufacturing floor
• Identify, document, and resolve nonconformances; perform root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions
• Audit test results to confirm product specifications are met
• Monitor and report quality performance metrics, identifying trends and supporting continuous improvement efforts
• Use measuring tools, test equipment, and microscopes to perform detailed inspections
• Inspect to IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001) and elevate critical quality issues to management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quick-turn assemblies
• Maintain ESD controls, safety compliance, and 5S standards
• Follow all company policies and perform additional duties as assigned
