Job summary

80/20 in Indiana is seeking a Panel Operator to set up and run routers in the Panel Shop, processing panel orders according to customer specifications. You will handle all aspects of machine setup, operation, and shutdown to move orders to the next area.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished panels for quality, reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and coordinating with Leadership for troubleshooting as needed. This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Able to read blueprints and use tape measures, calipers and micrometers.
• Strong math skills and ability to convert fractions to decimals.
• Must have basic English reading/writing/speaking ability.
• Forklift license is preferred or must be obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Set up, use, and shut down machines and routers for each order.
• Pull and use material needed for each order.
• Inspect finished panels for quality per 80/20 standards.
• Operate cutting machines (shear, etc.) to complete orders.
• Transport finished orders to shipping area.
• Learn all areas of Panel Shop department.
• Read blueprints and use them to meet customer specifications.
• Communicate daily with leadership and provide input or troubleshooting needs.
