Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Palletizer Operator for our Emporia, Kansas facility to ensure proper palletizing, wrap quality pallets, and maintain line efficiency.

The role requires experience with large palletizing equipment, reading and following GMP guidelines, and adherence to lean manufacturing practices. Responsibilities include coordinating with forklift operators, validating changeovers, and maintaining product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience running large machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Background in manufacturing/process environments with GMP knowledge.
• Military experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the palletizing machine are running at all times and troubleshoot malfunctions to maintain line efficiency.
• Optimize stack patterns to minimize overhang and present a tightly stacked pallet.
• Coordinate material handling with forklift drivers and changeovers for upcoming products.
• Assist with the LP process, verify accuracy of pallets and quantities.
• Participate in team activities and follow Simmons operating systems and LEAN practices.
