Job summary

Simmons Foods in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Palletizer Operator responsible for producing tightly stacked pallets, monitoring palletizing machines, troubleshooting malfunctions, coordinating changeovers, and ensuring correct bag size and pattern.

You will work with maintenance, forklift drivers, and line teams to maintain line efficiency, uphold QA standards, and follow LEAN practices while lifting up to 55 lbs and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience running large machines and fast-paced production environments is preferred.
• Background in manufacturing and GMP/LEAN familiarity is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate palletizing machinery and ensure pallets are properly stacked and wrapped.
• Troubleshoot palletizer malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance.
• Verify correct bag size and pattern; ensure accuracy of pallet patterns and codes.
• Coordinate material handling and communicate with forklift drivers for material availability.
• Assist with LP manifesting and change overs; ensure correct pallets, slip sheets, and film are used.
• Maintain quality and adhere to QA standards; participate in team meetings and continuous improvement.
