Job summary

Ascentec Engineering is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Pallet Division in Oregon. This on-site role operates on a day shift (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) with a focus on precision assembly of machined parts and electromechanical components.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, reads blueprints and drawings, and can work with basic measuring tools. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to read and understand project specifications, blueprints and drawings
• Experience installing rivets, studs, standoffs and Heli coils is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

• Work with precision machined parts while assembling, cleaning, deburring, sanding & lapping
• Use of power and hand tools: chop saw, drills, Dremel, torque drivers, files, pneumatic sanders, etc.
• Installation of hardware and electromechanical assemblies
• Preventative maintenance for selected handheld tools
• Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and dial gauges
• Other tasks as defined by leadership
