Job summary

Stratasys Direct Manufacturing in Minnetonka, MN, is seeking a Painter II to perform advanced post-processing and surface finishing on 3D-printed parts, including cosmetic and non-cosmetic painting, masking, coatings, sanding, and inspection. You will operate paint booth equipment, review quotes, and participate in daily production meetings to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires 2–3+ years of hands-on finishing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced math skills.
• Advanced computer experience (Microsoft Office and email).
• Hands-on dexterity and attention to detail.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and craftsmanship.
• 2–3+ years measuring with hand tools.
• 2–3+ years using shop equipment (drill press, hand drills, sanders, UV light).
• 2+ years' experience with cosmetic and non-cosmetic paint and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for finishing per work orders and blueprints.
• Follow instructions to ensure finished parts meet customer requirements.
• Operate paint booth equipment and apply cosmetic/non-cosmetic finishes.
• Perform quality inspections and part counts; sign off paperwork.
• Collaborate with operators and engineers to troubleshoot finishing issues.
• Maintain finishing area and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Support continuous improvement projects in finishing.
