Job summary

Brown and Root Industrial Services is seeking an on-site maintenance/helper to operate plant packing equipment safely and efficiently, while assisting in meeting production targets and adhering to safety guidelines. The role includes coordinating with supervision, reading plans, and preparing work sites.

Candidates should be prepared to manage materials, conduct routine maintenance needs and follow hazardous waste handling guidelines in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with some years of related experience.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Follows instructions and predefined guidelines to perform functions.
• Works under supervision with limited independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant packing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in meeting plant production requirements as directed by supervision.
• Monitor equipment and maintenance needs; communicate with supervision as needed.
• Read and interpret instructions and plans; plan work activities.
• Move materials and equipment to work locations and set up work sites.
• Follow hazardous waste handling guidelines; maintain records and housekeeping.
