Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator at our Orville, OH facility to execute packaging tasks with accuracy and safety. You will label, weigh, and inspect products, complete documentation, and ensure traceability across the production process.

The role emphasizes operating packaging equipment, following procedures, and maintaining a clean, compliant workplace while supporting continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and package products according to guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete job sheets and production documentation accurately with correct counts and traceability.
• Attach lot numbers and shipping information to finished products.
• Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products to verify quality and packaging specs.
• Set up, operate, and clean packaging equipment; monitor and adjust to maintain quality.
• Stop or reset equipment and report mechanical issues to supervision.
• Move finished products off lines and handle non-conforming materials.
• Operate powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and follow safety policies.
