Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a progressive manufacturing environment preferred.
• Optical alignment and test experience desired.
• Assembly experience desired.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and process instructions.
• Experience using standard hand tools (Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches).
• Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-minded work ethic.
• Collaborative mindset for team dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Align and test optical systems using interferometry and alignment tools.
• Work with assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Environmentally test opto-mechanical systems with thermal chambers and vibration machines.
• Document actions by completing checklists.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Perform general lab maintenance as needed.
