Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense seeks a Manufacturing Technician at Wilsonville, OR to assemble precision opto-mechanical and electro-optical components and perform verification tests. Under general supervision, you will follow production procedures to ensure sensor functionality and alignment.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, aligning subassemblies, operating test software, and documenting results with meticulous attention to quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of related technical experience.
  • PCB assembly experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds for short durations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, manuals and procedures to perform assemblies and test operations.
  • Assemble, install, align, and adjust electro-optical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies.
  • Operate computer-based test software and diagnostic tools to verify sensor functionality and alignment.
  • Perform optical alignment activities and verify optical paths.
  • Use precision hand tools to make mechanical and optical adjustments to meet specs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and electro-optical issues with diagnostic instruments.
  • Document test results and inspections in electronic systems.
  • Maintain high level of attention to detail to ensure reliability and flight-critical integrity.
