Thorlabs is seeking a dedicated assembler in Sterling, VA to join a Lean manufacturing cell responsible for assembling a range of components and assemblies. You will follow written work instructions and drawings to ensure high-quality products with minimal scrap, while meeting production timelines.

The role requires 3–5 years in a manufacturing assembly setting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in mechanical, electrical, or optical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Soldering capability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products of varying size and complexity, including preparing, cleaning, and inspecting parts.
• Meet production order timelines and maintain quality standards with minimal scrap.
• Cross-train across functions to support production operations.
