Job summary

Southeast Eye Group in Hiawassee is looking for a full-time optical associate to provide exceptional patient experiences through eyewear fitting, measurements, and fitting prescriptions accurately. You will contribute to the practice’s goal of being the premier destination for vision needs in the community.

The role requires state licensure, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with inventory and point-of-sale systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state optical licensure; must maintain license.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Sales skills – ability to use and carry a tablet.
• Embraces new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Custom fits glasses and places prescription in lenses.
• Leads with optical knowledge and supports peers.
• Takes and records measurements; ensures eyewear meets standards.
• Asks open-ended questions to understand patient needs.
• Assists peers with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures; maintains safety and inventories.
• Works weekends and evenings as required; meets KPIs and goals.
• Sells on your feet 80%-100% of the time.
• Keeps a clean, organized work area and protects company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Practice Manager.
