Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Machine Operator for its manufacturing site in Puerto Rico to prepare and operate equipment, ensure continuous flow, and uphold quality specifications. You will work with lathes, PEGS, optical benches, and interferometers, performing setups and routine maintenance.

You will manage liquids and solids waste per EHS rules, document production orders, and adapt to varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electronics, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical or related technical field and one year of general experience; or JJ Vision Cell Operator certification and one year of general experience.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Experience as Manufacturing Operator or similar role preferred.
• Experience in setup and adjustment of manufacturing machinery: cutting machines, microscopes, comparators, optical benches and interferometers.
• Willingness to work overtime and multiple shifts including 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure equipment for batches; monitor machine performance and take action as needed.
• Configure orders on the manufacturing line; operate equipment and measurement devices to produce IOL in lens generation area.
• Perform mathematical calculations to configure and operate machines.
• Run tests to execute processes and equipment.
• Manage, handle, and dispose PEG reagents and supplies per EHS rules; maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Perform line maintenance and ensure continuous flow; replace cylinders and clean equipment as required.
