Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Typically has a minimum of 3+ years optics experience or related industry experience.
• Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge base of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Previous work experience in a process manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.
• Lifting requirements up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understands and promotes a safe environment.
• Sets up tooling (installs spacers/tooling as needed) (help assembles backers) (knows how to locate tooling).
• Load/unload parts into chambers as needed.
• Understands chemicals that are used throughout the lab and how to dispose of them.
• Foils chambers
• Changes targets
• Performs basic spectrophotometer scans of optical components
• Performs regens
• Bead blasts tooling
• Starts coating runs
• Knows the chamber status of their area
• Can perform simple crystal error recoveries
• Performs and supports 6S activities as directed.
• Knows chamber cleanliness and how it affects quality.
• Works effectively within teams
• Other duties as assigned
