Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an assembly technician to build optical systems and sub-assemblies in a controlled cleanroom environment. You will prototype and assemble components to tight specifications, often with supervision, and participate in testing and documentation to ensure product quality.

The role requires 1–2 years of industrial experience, basic blueprint reading, and math skills including algebra and trigonometry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years industrial experience.
• Blueprint reading.
• Algebra and basic Trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of components; assembly of components into housings without supervision.
• Alignment of systems to meet specifications.
• Alignment of assemblies and in-process testing (basic interferometry and open optical testing).
• Processing and final testing documentation per requirement with some supervision.
• Preparation of assemblies for shipment to customer with review from supervisor or Tech III.
