Job summary

Attalon in Traverse City, MI seeks a Manufacturing Technician for 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) to perform detailed assembly of small components in a high‑tech optical environment. The role requires working in ISO cleanrooms with scientific and engineering precision.

Minimum 2–4 years in electronics or photonics, familiarity with Oracle, Agile and ISO standards, and hands‑on experience with test equipment and hand soldering. Cleanroom experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in electronics or photonics
• Proficiency with Oracle, Agile and ISO standards
• Experience using DVMs, power supplies and general test equipment
• Experience with hand soldering equipment
• Good hand–eye coordination and multi‑tasking ability
• Knowledge of production concepts and quality systems
• Experience with electronic/optical test and measurement systems

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed assembly on small components per blueprints and procedures
• Operate high‑power microscope and follow cleanroom rules
• Assemble electronic/electro‑mechanical components and parts
• Maintain tolerances and perform setups as per specs
• Utilize hand tools, tweezers, ovens, hot plates and microscopes
• Clean, handle optics and mechanical parts with solvents and adhesives
• Document work orders in Oracle and Cumulus; assist with inventory
• Prepare products for shipping and document packaging
• Repair and document returned products for repair
• Communicate with supervisor on status and progress
• Follow safety guidelines and meet production goals
• Perform other duties as assigned
