Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Precision Optical Assembler to build small, highly precise optical and mechanical components used in advanced laser systems.

The role is hands-on, supporting prototype and low-volume technical hardware. The successful candidate will assemble optical and mechanical parts, install optics into precision mounts, handle sensitive components, and document completed work in a clean assembly environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with precision assembly of optical or mechanical components.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Familiarity with microscopes, magnification, and small hand tools.
• Experience in controlled-quality environments (AS9100/ISO 9001) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small optical and mechanical components
• Install optics into precision mounts and assemblies
• Handle, clean, and protect sensitive optical components
• Apply epoxies, adhesives, and mechanical fasteners
• Work with microscopes, tweezers, fixtures, and precision hand tools
• Follow drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation
• Inspect completed assemblies for workmanship and accuracy
• Support prototype builds and changing assembly requirements
• Document completed work and maintain a clean assembly environment
