Job summary

Acme Screw Machine Operator is sought for our 2nd shift in Springfield, Ohio. You will set up and operate multi-spindle Acme screw machines, interpret blueprints, manage intricate tooling, and prove new part changeovers in a high-volume production environment.

The role requires 2–3 years of screw machine experience, strong troubleshooting, and solid shop math skills. Expect a 4-day work week with a 2:00 PM? 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of multi-spindle screw machine experience in a factory setting.
• Strong shop math skills to calculate dimensions, offsets and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: set up, adjust, and operate multi-spindle Acme screw machines per process instructions.
• Tooling & Changeovers: set up and prove out new changeovers to meet close tolerances.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose problems and implement improvements.
• Quality Assurance: inspect outputs to ensure parts match blueprints and documents.
• Maintenance: perform routine preventive maintenance and keep work area clean.
• Team Flexibility: assist in other production areas as needed by supervisors.
