IES Infrastructure in Huntington, WV is seeking a skilled Motor Winder with expertise in AC and DC motor winding. You will set up and operate winding machines and hand tools to produce windings for a range of applications.

Read blueprints, ensure quality, and maintain equipment while collaborating with engineers to meet safety and production targets. A strong understanding of winding techniques and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor winding for AC and/or DC motors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Attention to detail and precision in winding coils.
• Knowledge of insulation types and wire gauges.
• Strong safety awareness and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate winding machines and hand tools for coils.
• Handle copper wire, insulation materials, and components correctly.
• Interpret motor blueprints and determine winding specs.
• Inspect windings for defects and perform basic testing.
• Maintain winding equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot winding machinery and material handling issues.
• Document production details and winding specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to meet deadlines.
