Timken Power Systems, Schulz Electric brand, is seeking a Mechanic for the East Haven, CT service center responsible for performing general labor, mechanical, and maintenance tasks. The incumbent will assemble, test, disassemble, inspect, and paint electric motors while following customer specifications and documenting work thoroughly.

Ideal candidates will balance rotor systems, read drawings and tolerances, and maintain equipment per maintenance manuals, with flexibility for overtime as

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience.
• Ability to understand and perform dynamic balancing of rotors and rotating elements.
• Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to measure tight tolerances.

Responsabilités

• Assemble, test, disassemble and inspect, and paint electric motors.
• Perform various assembly duties following customer specifications.
• Ensure the quality of all work sent to the test panel.
• Complete related paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
• Demonstrate the ability to understand and utilize drawings, sketches and GD&T, tolerances, and repair manuals.
• Provide feedback to engineering on assembly/test discrepancies, drawing errors, quality errors, etc., to resolve problems and prevent reoccurrences.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary to meet production demands.
