Job summary

LaRiviere, Inc. in North Idaho is seeking a skilled Motor Grader Operator/Superintendent to join our regional team on highway and site projects. You will operate motor graders and oversee equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely, with a focus on quality control.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of grading experience, the ability to read construction plans, and knowledge of grade control systems. This on-site role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits across Northern Idaho

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Motor Grader Operator on highway, roads, and residential development projects.
• Proficient in motor grader operations and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Familiar with grading techniques, subgrade shaping, and fine grading for horizontal surfaces.
• Experience with automatic grade control systems.
• Ability to make decisions based on verifiable standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader to grade and shape surfaces to fine-grade specifications.
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Operate equipment to mix materials, level dirt, and dress shoulders and slopes.
• Use automatic grade control systems and manual grading to achieve precise grades.
• Maintain production levels, schedule work tasks, and meet timelines and quantities.
• Monitor work quality and address issues or rework as needed.
• Enforce safety procedures on-site and ensure crew compliance.
• Able to operate other heavy equipment as a bonus.
