Job summary

Allient Inc in Watertown, NY is hiring Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. You will load/unload machines, inspect parts, follow drawings and OMS, and help ensure materials and tools meet specifications on the assembly line.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, can read blueprints and calipers, perform basic measurement tasks, and work safely in a fast-paced environment. Soldering or wiring experience is a plus; standing for long periods is expected.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Good manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
• Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers. Soldering, lead wiring, and forming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unload previously setup machines, to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal-cutting operation on assembly line.
• Inspects components and assemblies both visually and using inspection tools as required.
• Uses prints, job orders, operations methods sheets (OMS), work instructions and other specifications to ensure that proper and within specification materials and tools are utilized.
• Inventories (cycle counts) materials in work area.
• Prepares required documentation.
