Job summary

Barton Staffing Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Mold, Tool & Die Maker in Montgomery, IL to join our Tool Room team. This role involves precision work, close-tolerance machining, mold/die repair, and hands-on craftsmanship in a well-equipped shop.

The position offers a starting pay of $30 per hour depending on experience, with 1st shift hours. Shifts may start at 3am or 5am, and Saturdays are required about three times a month.

Qualifications

• Mold making, tooling, and machining skills required.
• Experience with precision tolerances is beneficial.
• Ability to read prints and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Construct, alter, and repair molds, dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Work to close tolerances to fit, align, and assemble components.
• Perform ordinary tool room machining operations on manual equipment.
• Read prints, sketches, orders, and instructions to complete tasks.
• Disassemble molds and dies, inspect components, and repair as needed.
• Assist with complex work, including TIG welding.
• Reassemble molds/dies and verify proper fit and alignment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and keep the workspace clean.
