Cavallero Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Mold Installation Technician to join our manufacturing team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise installation, setup, and alignment of molds for injection-molding processes.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection-molding.
• Familiarity with PLCs used in manufacturing automation systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification preferred.
• Experience with machining tools such as press-brake machines and CNC lathes.
• Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to mold setup.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or plastics processing environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow written procedures governing the injection-molding process.
• Install, align, and secure molds into injection-molding equipment.
• Use tools to verify mold dimensions and alignment.
• Conduct quality inspections on molds and finished products.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts.
• Perform maintenance and adjustments on molds and equipment.
• Follow lean-manufacturing principles to reduce waste.
• Maintain required records.
