International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Newport Mill. The role focuses on shaft alignment, bearing installation, and precision work on rotating equipment, reading drawings, and ensuring tolerances are met.

A strong team player is essential for smooth maintenance operations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus a millwright apprenticeship or journeyman status, or an appropriate technical degree or certificate.

Competenze

• Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must have one of: Millwright apprenticeship or Journeyman status, or Mechanical Industrial Technology degree, or accredited college/trade school certificate.
• Willing and capable of working all shifts.
• Undergo drug screening and periodic testing; rotate shifts; overtime and weekend work as needed.
