The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Milling Machine Operator to safely operate milling equipment, perform daily maintenance, and replace teeth as needed on project sites in Florida. You will follow safety policies, attend daily huddles, and help maintain high-quality, efficient milling operations that meet project specifications.

Candidates should have at least 2 years milling experience, CDL license, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and report accidents/incidents to ensure safety.
• Ensure a safe work environment in line with Middlesex policies.
• Must be on site at scheduled start time and attend daily huddle.
• Identify hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Attend weekly toolbox talks.
• Maintain health status; lift up to 50lbs; bend, push, pull, stoop, twist.
• Work day/night shifts with extended hours as needed.
• Climb ladders with 3-point contact.
• Inspect area with a metal detector before milling.
• Read and understand project specifications.
• Assist with project layout from drawings to ensure quality.
• Foster positive relationships with team members.
• Report equipment problems to supervisor promptly.
• Complete daily equipment condition reports.
• Monitor milling depth, cross slope, and quality of cut; coordinate with QC.
• Operate milling machine automation.
• Use a smart level effectively.
• Ensure cross slope, crown, and depth meet project specs.
• Notify supervisor of project challenges.
• Keep equipment clean and properly parked.
• Fueling, water, and teeth replacement at end of shift.
• Lock compartments.
• Inspect project daily before departure for complete work and cleanup.
• Report all accidents/incidents to supervisor and Safety Department.
