Job summary

Blackrock Neurotech is seeking an Electrode Manufacturing Technician I in Salt Lake City, UT. This hands-on role focuses on fabricating microelectrode arrays and implantable neural device components in a controlled cleanroom, contributing to patient safety and advancing neural interface technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and/or AA or equivalent.
• Experience in electronics or medical device manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in small parts.
• Excellent reading and writing in English; good communication.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable in a cleanroom environment and wearing gowning.
• Knowledge of FDA/ISO for medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build microelectrode arrays in a cleanroom.
• Perform assembly under a microscope on small parts.
• Wire bonding, micro-soldering, adhesive application, and precise placement.
• Follow procedures and engineering drawings.
• Inspect work and perform basic functional checks.
• Document production per GMP/ISO/FDA.
• Identify defects and assist troubleshooting.
• Follow cleanroom protocols and gowning.
• Assist material prep, inventory, and production setup.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Eng. and QA.
