Job summary

Axoft is building advanced brain–machine interface technology and seeks a hands-on R&D Intern on the Microfabrication team in Cambridge, MA. You will work from materials exploration to device fabrication, performing lithography, deposition, etching, metrology, packaging, and quality control in a wet/dry fabrication environment.

You will help develop and test electrode materials, participate in electrochemical measurements, and support in vivo experiment workflows, translational neurotechnology,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant science/engineering program.
• Strong foundation in microfabrication and electrochemistry; cleanroom experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experimental rigor, attention to detail, and safe independent work in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize novel electrode materials and characterize them.
• Integrate materials into cleanroom fabrication processes.
• Perform electrochemical testing (CV, EIS, pulsing, stability) and analyze data.
• Support cross‑functional collaboration and maintain lab operations.
