Job summary

Randstad USA in Austin is seeking an experienced Precision Micro-Solderer to perform high-reliability assembly, rework, and trace repair on complex circuit boards. You will work under a microscope on mission-critical electronics with tight tolerances.

You should have 2+ years of micro-soldering experience and IPC J-STD-001 / IPC-A-610 certs. The role offers daytime shifts with 8 AM to 4 PM hours and a salary range of $39,520–$52,000 per year.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of micro-soldering and microscope-assisted PCB rework experience.
  • Active or prior IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification (Class 3 preferred).
  • Deep familiarity with hot-air rework stations, pre-heaters, and flux chemistry.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for extreme fine-pitch work.

Responsibilities

  • SMT/Through-hole assembly and micro-soldering down to 0201/0402 component sizes.
  • High-density board rework, fine-pitch QFN/BGA touch-ups, and trace/pad repairs under stereo magnification.
  • Maintain strict adherence to IPC Class 2/3 inspection and workmanship standards.
  • Precision soldering including but no limited to through-hole or surface-mount.
  • Mechanical assembly of custom cables, wiring harnesses, or circuit boards.
  • Wire crimping.
  • IPC or other solder rework certification.

Job description

What You’ll Do
  • SMT/Through-hole assembly and micro-soldering down to 0201/0402 component sizes.

  • Maintain strict adherence to IPC Class 2/3 inspection and workmanship standards.
