A leading electronics manufacturer in Uniondale is seeking a Hi-Rel Solder Assembler to join their team. This position requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of PCB or electronics assembly experience, specifically with IPC Class 3 standards. The successful candidate will perform high-precision hand soldering on printed circuit boards and be responsible for ensuring product quality. Job description

Hi-Rel Solder Assembler

Hi-Rel Solder Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate must have 2-3 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision hand soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components to IPC Class 3 standards.
• Responsible for assembling and soldering high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs) and sub assemblies in accordance with industry standards such as IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
• The candidate should have working knowledge of operating soldering equipment, microscopes, and other assembly tools.
• Must be able to read and interpret assembly documents and engineering drawings.

Education and Required Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in PCB or electronics assembly, preferably in a Hi-Rel or related environment.
• Proficiency in soldering to IPC J-STD- A-610 Class 3 standards.
• Certification in IPC J-ATD-001 and/or IPC-A-610.
• Experience in working under a microscope and magnification with fine-pitch components.
• Familiarity with ESD protection procedures.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Strong computer and written skills is a PLUS, willing to train an enthusiastic applicant willing to learn a new skill.
