Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Blue Ash, OH is seeking a Metrology Technician to perform contact and non-contact inspections on medical devices using OGP SmartScope, optical profilometers, and optical/white light tools. You will read GD&T blueprints, develop inspection programs, and collaborate with engineers to optimize techniques.

Applicants should have Diploma and strong math skills, with proficiency in MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

Proficiency in contact and non-contact metrology inspections.
Advanced programming for OGP SmartScope systems.
Operation of Keyence optical profilometers.
Ability to read GD&T on blueprints.
Experience with optical comparators and digital microscopes.
Familiarity with white light scanning systems.
Use of hand gages, micrometers, and calipers.
Strong math skills including trigonometry.
MS Word and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspections of medical devices and components using contact and non-contact metrology equipment.
Collaborate with engineers to understand measurement requirements and recommend inspection techniques.
Read and interpret blueprints with GD&T for complex measurement requests.
Develop and execute advanced inspection programs on OGP SmartScope systems.
Collect dimensional data using optical comparators, digital microscopes, white light scanners, and hand gages.
Analyze measurement data to troubleshoot issues and guide customers toward practical solutions.
Handle biohazardous materials as required; perform lab support duties.
