Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Metrology Technician in Walker, MI to perform precision measurements and uphold quality standards. You will work with CMMs and other metrology tools, calibrate equipment, and document procedures, contributing to product quality across manufacturing partners.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in dimensional inspection, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso. This network-focused role offers exposure to multiple partners and long-term fit.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment performing dimensional inspection and metrology.
• Proficient in metrology equipment including CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in measurement and inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience with metrology software for data analysis and reporting (PC-DMIS, Calypso).

Responsibilities

• Perform precision measurements using CMM, optical comparators, and other metrology equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain measurement tools and equipment according to established procedures.
• Analyze measurement data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality.
• Develop and document measurement procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related problems.
• Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analysis.
• Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for part inspection.
