Job summary

MacLean Power Systems in Stockton, CA is seeking a Saw Operator to safely set up and operate industrial saw equipment to cut metal and other materials according to work orders and drawings.

You will read orders, measure accurately, and maintain safety and quality throughout production. This non-exempt manufacturing role offers a pay range of $17.50–$19.00 per hour and requires attendance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or saw operation preferred.
• Ability to read work orders and basic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial saw equipment to cut metal and other materials according to work orders, drawings, and production specifications.
• Measure and verify material dimensions using tape measures, calipers, gauges, or other measuring tools.
• Review work orders and production instructions to determine material type, dimensions, quantity, and cutting requirements.
• Load, position, secure, and remove materials from saw equipment safely.
• Select appropriate saw settings, speeds, feeds, and blades based on material and job requirements.
• Inspect completed cuts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
• Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
