Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a dependable Production Helper to join our manufacturing team. You will support daily production by unloading parts, grinding and finishing metal components, and assisting across the facility.

Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on work with metal, can safely use hand tools, read basic blueprints, and maintain accurate records in our computer system. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal grinding, forming or fabrication.
• Ability to safely use hand tools around metal and sharp materials.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and bend/move materials.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, self-motivated and efficient.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing production needs.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload finished parts from the Gemini machine.
• Grind, deburr, and finish metal parts.
• Sort, count, and organize parts per production orders.
• Use appropriate hand tools for tasks.
• Complete work according to production and quality standards.
• Perform basic data entry and record completed work in our computer system.
• Use basic measuring tools to verify parts and dimensions.
• Identify and report material, production, equipment, and quality concerns.
• Maintain equipment performance logs and communicate maintenance needs.
• Participate in basic operator-level preventative maintenance.
• Safely handle and move materials throughout the work area.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow all company and plant safety procedures.
• Assist other departments and production areas as needed.
