Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a dependable production worker to set up machines, adjust settings for various production tasks, and ensure strict safety and quality standards in our manufacturing facility.

You will sand and grind metal parts, inspect finishes, and assist with occasional welding preparation, while maintaining clean tools and a safe workspace. The role requires basic reading of technical documents, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to perform varied

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college/technical certificate preferred.
• One year of manufacturing/production experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Sets up machines and adjusts settings for production tasks.
• Ensures safety and operation standards compliance.
• Sands and grinds metal parts to finish ready for painting/plating as required by the customer.
• Checks part quality by visual and tactile inspection for dents, scratches, or breaks in metal.
• Removes dents and weld welts; may perform limited tack welding.
• Maintains finishing tools (cleaning, oiling, storage, maintenance).
• Transfers sheet metal components from incoming load to work surface following safety procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean workspace.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
