Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is hiring a Grinder for a full-time, hourly role. You will operate a hand grinder to smooth welded metal surfaces under supervision of the Team Leader, and you’ll also handle basic cleanup and housekeeping tasks as part of daily duties.

The position requires 1–3 years related experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to read and communicate in English. Safety gear must be worn and all safety rules followed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous/related experience.

• Ability to read, write and communicate English.
• Follow safety procedures and wear safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Grinds, sands, cleans, or polishes objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.
• Moves controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding.
• Trims scrapes, or deburrs objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.
• Applies solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools.
• Records grinding project status work on a Production dispatch list.
• Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.
• Assists daily with all housekeeping duties in the work area.
