Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Machine Operator to run metalworking equipment such as press brakes, mills, lathes, saws and grinders to fabricate high precision parts. You will load materials, monitor output, perform basic maintenance, inspect parts with calipers or micrometers, and document production data.

The role requires blueprint reading and prior metalworking experience, with a strict focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read blueprints; blueprint reading is a plus.
• Prior metalworking, construction, or mechanical trade experience is ideal.
• Able to pass background check.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Operate metalworking machinery for forming, bending, turning, milling and/or cutting steel.
• General labor tasks include loading/unloading machines and deburring/grinding for manual weld spatter removal.
• Load raw material and start-up/shut down of equipment.
• Monitor machine performance for accuracy of quantity and quality output and adjust as needed.
• Perform basic preventative and routine machine maintenance.
• Manual assembly of product with use of manual and powered tools.
• Stack and protect parts to maintain quality standards.
• Inspect parts visually or with calipers/micrometers to ensure accuracy.
