Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lead Press Brake Operator to drive productivity and safety. You will lead the Press Brake Department, coordinate workflow with operators, and ensure parts meet PV specifications with accurate material dimensions.

Responsibilities include selecting machines, safely operating the overhead crane and forklift, and maintaining consistent output of multiple parts with a focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Lead the Press Brake Department and coordinate workflow with operators.
• Operate various press brakes to produce parts per PV specifications and material dimensions.
• Determine appropriate machines based on capacity and part length.
• Ensure safety by using overhead crane and forklift as needed.
• Maintain productivity while forming multiple parts of the same configuration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Press Brake Department and support operators by coordinating workflow. Can solve complex problems without assistance from management
• Operate various press brakes to produce parts according to P.V. specifications, using the correct material thickness, width, and length
• Determine the appropriate machine to use based on capacity and part length
• Safely operate overhead crane and forklift to move material as needed
• Maintain consistent productivity while forming multiple parts of the same configuration
