Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Estimator for a contract-to-hire role based in Fond du Lac, WI. The position focuses on reviewing customer requests, analyzing technical docs, and developing accurate quotations covering materials, labor, tooling, and outside processing for metal fabrication projects.

You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure all production processes and quality requirements are captured, supporting profitable projects and continuous improvement within the estimating

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, capabilities, and equipment.
• Proficiency in estimation for metal fabrication projects, including materials, labor, and processing costs.

Responsibilities

• Process quote requests from customers and return completed quotations within required timeframes.
• Review customer prints, 3D models, specifications, work instructions, and other project information to understand scope.
• Develop detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, tooling, and outside processing for metal fabrication projects.
