Job summary

Wisconsin Stamping & Manufacturing is seeking a cost estimator for our metal fabrication operations in Wisconsin. You will analyze customer specifications, read 2D/3D drawings, and develop detailed cost estimates for new projects while collaborating with sales, engineering and production to ensure feasibility and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes data-driven cost analysis, process improvement, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to prepare and review detailed cost estimates for new projects.
• Analyze data to assess manufacturing feasibility, time, materials and labor.
• Read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and customer specs.
• Determine cost-efficient production methods and support process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new projects and review existing estimates for accuracy.
• Collect and analyze data to assess feasibility, timing, materials and labor requirements.
• Understand customer requirements, design intent and deadlines.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing and production to inputs costs.
• Compute cost factors and prepare timely estimates.
• Retrieve data for process improvements and apply quality methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
