Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a Photo Etch I Operator (Chemical Etching Technician) to process metal parts in small batches using chemical baths and rinsing tanks. You will follow established work instructions in a high-volume production environment, maintain etch systems, and perform inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role requires standing for extended periods, safe handling of chemicals with PPE, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Experience with plating metal parts and use of a grit blaster is a plus.
• 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process metal parts in small batches through chemical baths and rinsing tanks.
• Operate conveyorized etch systems per given instructions.
• Perform in-process visual inspection of chemically cleaned panels.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of etched panels.
• Periodically clean etch system sumps and safely transport drums.
• Dispense precise amounts of raw chemicals for bath make-ups.
• Maintain etch systems including fluid levels, conveyors, nozzles and filters.
• Assist other departments such as photoresist coating and filtration.
• Routine cleaning of equipment and work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
