Job summary

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting in San Jose, CA is seeking a manufacturing assembler for precision micro-assembly of medical-device components in a cleanroom environment. The role requires careful, detail-oriented work and familiarity with GDP documentation practices.

You will assemble devices using hand and power tools, maintain production logs, and adhere to strict cleanroom protocols including gowning and masking. Prior cleanroom or medical-device experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
• Medical-device or cleanroom experience preferred.
• Strong fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and depth perception for assembling small components.
• Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive, detail-oriented work.
• Microscope experience preferred, including the ability to work at a microscope for extended periods during an eight-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices according to established procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
• Perform assembly operations using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Complete production logs and forms in real time in accordance with GDP.
• Follow all cleanroom protocols, including required gowning, masking, and gloving.
• Identify, document, and promptly escalate visual defects or quality concerns.
