Job summary

The Women's Group of Northwestern is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder & Surgical Scheduler to support documentation, scheduling and billing for a busy women's health practice.

This full-time in-person role located in Illinois requires a CPC license, 2 years in medical billing/insurance coding and inpatient surgery scheduling, with Epic/Epic Op-Time or Athena experience preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Medical Billing and Insurance Claim Coding: 2 years (Required).
• Inpatient Hospital Surgery Scheduling: 2 years (Required).
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification: Required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical coding and billing for patient claims.
• Schedule surgeries in NMH/Athena Health systems.
• Verify patient eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinate preoperative testing and communicate with OR team.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate coding.
• Provide billing and scheduling support to clinicians.
