Job summary

Harris Geospatial Solutions in Carlsbad, CA, seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Mechanisms) to own system-level responsibilities across design, development, and qualification of complex hardware. You will lead technical efforts, perform 3D modeling, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a lab environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree with 4+ years (or 8 years without a degree), plus active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree with required experience as stated.
• Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• Laboratory hardware work experience and lab readiness.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tasking with limited supervision on high consequence activities.
• Provide regular briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
• CreateTechnical Data Package components (drawings, etc.).
• Prototype, integrate, and test component parts and assemblies.
• Develop test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems.
• Perform test and evaluation of parts and systems.
• Participate in design reviews and product change discussions.
• Direct Designers/ Technicians/Operators within a design team.
• Support field testing/demonstration efforts as ME field rep.
