Job summary

Ferrotec is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Bedford, NH to manufacture precision mechanical products and subassemblies. You will read blueprints and SOPs to assemble, align, and inspect components, ensuring strict quality and cosmetic standards.

Expect to maintain production records and follow safety guidelines. The role requires a high school or trade school diploma with 2–4 years’ experience and a strong mechanical aptitude, with opportunities to train and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High School/Trade School diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years’ experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly tools such as torque wrenches, presses, gauges, and calipers.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
• Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical assembly and production equipment.
• Assemble and align components according to blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Perform inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and cosmetic standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and report any inconsistencies or equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and quality checks.
• Follow established safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and continuously improve processes.
• Periodically assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.
