The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and proven hands-on experience in similar roles, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.
• Excellent problem‑solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspect mechanical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in machinery and systems.
• Assist in installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, parts used and labor hours.
• Follow safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use a variety of tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Continuously update technical knowledge with industry trends.
