Job summary

Solid State Devices, Inc. (SSDI) is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support daily manufacturing in the Electronics Assembly department.

The role entails precision mechanical assembly, verifying parts, reading engineering drawings, and collaborating with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure quality and efficient production. This full-time position offers a 6:00am–2:30pm schedule, potential overtime, and a pay range of $21.00–$24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Experience with hand tools, measuring devices, and precision assembly techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to drawings and quality standards.
• Verify parts and materials before assembly to ensure accuracy and conformance.
• Perform mechanical measurements using various measurement tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical assembly problems and equipment issues.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and repair of tools and equipment.
• Conduct visual inspections ensuring workmanship meets requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Maintenance to improve processes.
• Maintain production records and documentation.
• Follow safety, ESD, cleanliness and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
