Job summary

Sonics and Materials, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembler to perform electrical and mechanical assembly, including soldering wires and small components, following diagrams and work instructions.

The role requires good hand dexterity, patience, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with production, engineering, and quality teams in a clean, safe environment. Experience with torque wrenches and basic assemblies is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, diagrams, and basic drawings.
• Previous soldering experience and the ability to solder wires, terminals, connectors, and small components.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise, repetitive assembly.
• Ability to handle electrical and mechanical hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components per instructions.
• Solder wires, terminals, and small components.
• Cut, strip, route, and terminate wires with appropriate tools.
• Install components and hardware in tight or difficult-to-reach areas.
• Use torque wrenches and common mechanical assembly tools.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and proper workmanship.
• Report damaged parts, assembly issues, or documentation discrepancies.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work independently while coordinating with production, engineering, and quality personnel.
